Saia partners with Fletes a Mexican carrier for cross-border service

Saia Inc., a less-than-truckload carrier, has formed a new alliance with Fletes Mexico, a major trucking company in Mexico. This partnership will enable cross-border freight transportation through the collaboration of Saia and Carga Express, the less-than-truckload division of Fletes Mexico. Saia will manage the shipments of Carga Express entering the U.S., while Carga Express will handle Saia’s freight heading into Mexico.


Juan Barroso, Saia’s Vice President of International, expressed in a press release that customers will gain from Carga Express’ extensive network of distribution centers and its commitment to providing top-notch LTL service in and throughout Mexico.


Based in Johns Creek, Georgia, Saia (NASDAQ: SAIA) operates 194 terminals nationwide, processing over 33,000 shipments daily. In proximity to the border, Saia has facilities in El Paso, Laredo, and La Feria, Texas; San Diego and El Centro, California; and Tucson, Arizona.
